Scriptures: Mark 9:31-37, 10:45, Matthew 20:20-27, Luke 7:28

There is a difference between doing great and being great. To put it another way, there is a difference between doing great things and being a great person. We have all known or read about or heard about or learned about people who have done great things or accumulated great possessions, but they weren’t great people. In this message, Dr. Merritt teaches that Jesus said some of the greatest people who will ever live may not be noticed for any great things they did. In fact, they may not, on this earth, ever be noticed at all. Some of the greatest people who will ever live will never have much money, much fame, much notoriety, much acclaim, or much applause, but in God’s eyes they are great.

"Jesus said the biggest no-name on this planet, who will follow Christ, and live his life God’s way, can be even greater than the man that Jesus called the greatest person who ever lived (Luke 7:28). The first step involves changing your mind. You have got to change the way you think about greatness, before you will ever understand what true greatness is and how to become truly great." --Dr. Merritt
