Why Me Lord

"Bring your full tithe to the temple treasury so there will be ample provisions in My temple. Test Me in this and see if I don't open up heaven itself to you and pour out blessings beyond your wildest dreams." Malachi 3:9-10 (The Message)
Did you hear those two words: "test Me?" Giving is a test. Giving tests our faith in God, but giving also tests God's faithfulness to us.

"God has promised time and time again that giving is like a seed that brings a harvest. 2 Cor. 9:6-8 (NLT) says this:
"Remember-a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop, but the one who plants generously will get a generous crop. You must each make up your own mind as to how much you should give. Don't give reluctantly or in response to pressure, for God loves the person who gives cheerfully. And God will generously provide all you need, then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others."

"This is a law that every farmer lives by. Every time a farmer sows seed he is testing God. He is saying, "If I plant the seed God will provide for my need." That's exactly what giving does; it puts God to the test to see whether or not He will bring the harvest when you plant the seed."
