Eternity 101: The Final Exam

"Your life is going to be placed on a pedestal- the way you spent your time, the way you spent your money, the priorities you placed on your life will all be put on a pedestal. God's fire of evaluation is going to fall and if you built your life on permanent materials, you will receive a reward. If you built a life made of perishable materials, you'll lose your reward.

"The day that Paul is referring to in verse 13 is the day when Jesus Christ returns. This is the day Jesus Himself referred to in Revelations 22,

"See I am coming soon, and my reward is with me, to repay all according to their deeds." (Revelations 22:12, NLT)

"Now there will be no favorites, no plea bargaining and no bribing of the judge. We are all going to be reviewed in exactly the same way. It will be a fair judgment, because Jesus Himself will be doing the judgment. John 5:33 says, "For the Father judges no one, but has committed all judgment to the Son." (John 5:22, NKJV)

"There will be no exemptions, no exceptions and no excuses for this judgment. I know there are a lot of Christians who would just like to sneak into heaven. They are not really even interested in rewards. They just as soon as skip the review, but everybody has to take this final exam. I don't mind telling you for some it is going to be a very embarrassing exam, but we all must take it, because II Corinthians 5:10 says, "Sooner or later we'll all have to face God, regardless of our conditions, we will appear before Christ and take what's coming to us as a result of our actions, either good or bad." (II Corinthian 5:10,MSG)

"No income tax return has ever been examined as closely by the IRS as your life is going to be examined by Jesus Christ. I want you to think about something that hopefully will encourage you and inspire you to live every minute for God's glory, God is concerned with every minute of your life."
