Be Patient

"We have all heard of the phrase, "The patience of Job". Job was indeed known as the most patient man in the Bible and did he ever need it! Think about what Job faced. He lost everything that he owned - everything. He lost his farm. He lost his cattle. He lost his livestock. He lost materially everything that he had. He then lost his children and his grandchildren. He lost his health. He was covered with terrible sores and boils.

"If that weren't bad enough even his own wife basically turned her back on him and his so-called friends didn't do anything but condemn him for evidently doing something bad enough to deserve his misfortune. Here was a man that loved God, feared God, trusted God, but he had all kinds of unbelievable problems.

"Therein lies a great lesson we learn from this man called Job and from the Book of Job. That is that problems are not meant to defeat you, they are not meant to depress you, they are not meant to discourage you. They are meant to develop you. Problems are not tools to tear you down; they are tests to build you up."
